20041014// The other day on my favorite channel, Turner Classic Movies, they showed what I think is one of the greatest film of all times: The Third Man (1949). I don't know how many times I've seen this movie in the past nor can I specify exactly what is it that I love about this masterpiece: is it the photography, lighting, the wonderful script, Orson Wells, film Noir, or the shit? Yes, the shit. One of the reasons I would love to go to Europe, specifically Vienna (or Paris for that matter) is to get knee-deep in poo and take pictures of the sewer system (in B&W of course - anything else would be uncivilized).

In doing my research, I came across a wonderful page that contained most of the locations where The Third Man was shot - make sure to check it out. Unfortunately, this dual monitor set is incomplete - I was not able to get a fedora similar to what was used in the film (I was planning to have it in the middle creeping out of the bottom but then again, I’m poor). Lastly, this is my first movie theme desktop and hopefully in the future I’ll make others for such movies as: Apocalypse Now, Citizen Kane, Unforgiving, Le Femme Nikita, Seven Samurai, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Usual Suspects and many-many others. Let me know what's on your mind.
